The 12th Daegu International Robot Industry Exhibition began its four-day schedule with an opening ceremony on the 14th.

At the opening ceremony, Daegu Metropolitan City Mayor Hong Joon Pyo, Daegu City Council President Lee Man-kyu, Korea Robot Industry Promotion Agency President Son Woong-hee,
It was held in the presence of officials such as Song Kyu-ho, president of Daegu Machinery and Parts Research Institute, Kim Chang-ho, chairman of the Global Robot Cluster, Choi Woo-gak, chairman of the Gyeongbuk Machinery Cooperative, Jin Young-hwan, chairman of Samik THK, and Lee Sang-gil, CEO of EXCO.

Daegu Mayor Hong Joon Pyo said in a congratulatory speech, "Daegu is making a leap into the capital of the Korean robot industry, with the national robot test field preliminary feasibility being passed this year and the investment attraction of promising offshore companies such as Bear Robotics and STS Robotech is concentrated."
"Through this exhibition, we hope that exchanges between large and small companies at home and abroad will be active in Daegu, where the nation's best robot industry ecosystem is established, and that it will be a new business opportunity for local companies," he said.

Following the congratulatory speech, participants toured booths of major participating companies such as Baer Robotics, a serving robot company, Eva, a charging company for electric vehicles, ESR Robotics, a cooperative robot SI company, and HD Hyundai Robotics, an industrial robot company.

This exhibition is 'Daegu International Automation Equipment Exhibition (DAMEX 2023)' and '18th International Parts and Materials Industry Exhibition.'
It was held with '(Parts & Materials Show 2023)'. The robot exhibition features 220 booths from 65 companies, featuring the latest robot technologies, including industrial robots as well as autonomous driving-based serving and patrol robots.
